Do I need a tee time?
While walk-in players are always welcome, tee times are strongly recommended in order to minimize any inconvenience that waiting to tee off may cause.
How far in advance can I book a tee time?
All visitors to Hawaii may book up to 90 days in advance. Kama’aina (locals with State of Hawaii ID) may book up to 30 days in advance. Large groups and tournaments may book out further, please contact our Golf Shop for more details, 808.676.5300.
Can I bring a spectator (non-golfer) with me?
Yes, we accept spectators to come along with your play. We charge a “Non-Golfing Rider” fee of $40*(+tax) per spectator for them to ride along with you in the Golf Carts. For Minors you will be required be required to sign a liability form during check in.
*For 9 Holes the fee will be $20(+tax).
Please mention that you will be bringing a spectator with you when making the reservation (If you are booking online, please input request in Golfer’s memo section).
How do I book a Multiple Play Package?
Please call our Golf Shop (808)676-5300 to reserve your multiple play tee-times.
I do not own a HI state ID but I own a property in Hawaii, can I play with a Kama’aina rate?
No. Unfortunately, the Kama’aina rate is only applicable for those who have obtained a valid HI state ID (i.e. Hawaii State Driver’s License).
Do you offer Military Discount?
We offer special rates of $95 for those who are currently active-duty Military members stationed in Hawaii. You will be required to present your Military ID as well as a valid Hawaii State ID. To play with a Military discount you can book 1 month in advance.
I would like to play with the “Advanced Special” rate – What does this offer include and how do I book with this offer?
With the “Advance Special” offer you can play at a special rate of $199 (+tax)* if the booking is made 8+ days in advance. Applicable tee-times are between 10am – 12:50pm. In addition, the package includes 50% off discount on rental clubs, too.
*Tee times that are rescheduled within the 8 days window are subject to standard rate.
To be eligible for this offer, you must book via the “Advanced Special” booking engine which can be found here.
Please note, any booking made via phone or other booking engines will not be eligible for this offer.
Do you have any Japanese speaking staff?
Yes, we have Japanese speaking staff available in our Golf Shop. When calling the Golf Shop (808)676-5300, Press “2” to be connected to a Japanese speaking representative.
What are the Golf Shop hours?
Golf Shop Hours of Operation: 6:30AM – 7:00PM (November 1 – March 18), and 6:00AM – 7:00PM (March 19 – October 31), 7 Days a Week. Hours are subject to change based on weather.
Are range balls included in the price?
Yes, a warm up basket of driving range balls are included in your green fees.
Do you have rental clubs and shoes?
Yes, our Golf Shop maintains one of the newest and best fleets of club rentals in the state. The TaylorMade equipment is top-notch, providing golfers with the latest technology for a great game. Our rental fleet consists of TaylorMade Qi10 Driver & Qi Irons with GTX Spider Putter. For Ladies we offer Kalea Woods & Irons with Kalea Spider Mini. Men’s regular flex sets will have steel shaft irons. Stiff flex will have steel shaft irons. Women’s flex sets will have graphite shaft irons. Rental shoes are available $15 per pair. Can I reserve rental clubs and shoes prior to my tee-time?
We currently do not reserve clubs prior to your tee-time as they are offered at a first come first serve basis, however, we have ample rental stocks and you will have a set to use for the day of your play. We do take in requests so our staff will know ahead of time to prepare your rentals when you check in with us. If you would like to put in a request, please let us know your rental requirements when booking with us or input your requests when booking online.
What is the expected pace of play?
Under normal circumstances, the expected pace of play on Ko Olina Golf Club is four hours and twenty minutes for 18 holes. Examples of abnormal conditions include days when inclement weather may cause delays, wet conditions may cause golf car restrictions, or a special event is playing the golf course.
Is there a practice range?
Ko Olina Golf Club has a full grass driving range, as well as a state-of-the-art artificial hitting pad. A small basket of range balls (approximately 35 balls) is $6 and a large basket (approximately 75 balls) is $12. We have driving range rental club sets available for $15. We also have a full practice putting green, and short-game area with 1 sand bunker. The short game area is free to use if you have your own equipment.

Do you have a dress code policy?
Smart casual golf attire and soft spike footwear is required for all players. Riders must dress in proper golf attire as well (spikes not required). T-shirts, swimwear, tank tops or cut-offs are NOT appropriate attire.
What is the weather like?
Ko Olina is located on the leeward side of Oahu which is the sunniest part of the island. So many times, it can be raining in Waikiki, but still sunny at Ko Olina! See our Live Webcam for the current weather at Ko Olina!
How far is the Golf Club from Waikiki
Ko Olina is located about 25 minutes west of the Honolulu International Airport and 45 minutes from Waikiki.
Can kids play?
Yes, junior golfers are welcome on our course. In fact, kids golf FREE after 3PM everyday! Golfer’s ages seventeen and younger are considered juniors. Please limit one junior per paying adult. For golf earlier than 3pm, applicable junior rates apply. See Tee Times and Rates.
How late can I tee off and still finish?*
In Hawaii, the sun sets as early as 5:50PM in December, and as late as 7:15PM in June/July. With an average pace of play of 4 hours & 20 minutes, you can tee off as late as 3:00 PM in the summer, and 1:50 PM in the winter and finish 18-holes. Special Twilight rates officially start at 1PM year round. Please note: for a twilight tee time, we cannot guarantee you will finish 18-holes before sunset.
Do you offer golf lessons?
Yes! Ko Olina features the #1 Golf Academy on Oahu, with the best staff of PGA golf professionals to serve you. Awarded the PGA Play Golf America award for contributions for teaching and growing the game. Please visit our Golf Academy section to see our options for group and private lessons.
Do you accept group play, tournaments, golf outings and shotgun starts?
Yes we do, and we have competitive rates as well. Please contact our Head Golf Professional, Joe Pack, at joe.pack@koolina.com or by calling 808.676.5300 to arrange your outing.
Do you allow carts to drive on the fairways?
Yes we do. On occasion we do have to restrict carts to cart path only due to rain, or other weather related conditions.
Can I play alone or will I be paired with other players?
Ko Olina Golf Club reserves the right to pair you with other players when course conditions and capacity require it.
How can I apply a twosome/ threesome Exclusive package to my group.
Should you want to play with just the players in your group, we offer an “Exclusive Package”. With this package we can block off the remaining available tee-times to ensure that your booking will not be paired with other players. The fee are as follows:
– Tee-times before 1pm: $255+tax
– Tee-times After 1pm: $190+tax
To apply the package, please call the Golf shop to put in your request*.
*Please note, depending on timing of your request, other players may have booked in the same tee-time and there may be cases we may not be able to accommodate your request.
Can I ship my clubs directly to the Course?
Ko Olina has a partnership with Ship Sticks. You can ship your clubs directly to the course. Find out more details here.
Do you offer transportation services from Waikiki
We offer complimentary shuttle services for guests staying in Waikiki and Kahala Hotel (this service is not applicable to guests playing at a kama’ aina rate). The shuttle will be complimentary with a minimum of 2 Golfers (12 players Max). Single Golfer will require to pay a fee of $80 (+tax), accompanying non-golfing rider fee is $40(+tax). Complimentary shuttles will be a shared shuttle, there may be multiple pick ups and stops before arriving to the Golf Club.
For those who prefer to ride privately without any stops, we highly recommend using our Private shuttle offer. A private shuttle can be arranged starting from $200 (+tax).
